the wastegate on your turbo is vacuum controlled. the wastegate opens slightly around 2000-3000 rpm . you can shorted the wastegate arm slightly . and the vacuum pipe that come from your wastegate to the boost pressure sensor ( just underneath your fuel pump ) disconnect from there and plug a bolt into it . this will leave the wastegate shut and boost should rise from a standard 14 psi to approx. 18 to 19 psi. you will feel the gain in power but as said abouve a remap is the way to go. but ...
